THE ARTIST Karen Hull is a fulltime artist / illustrator, an exhibiting member of the Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW) and is also a member of Illustrators Australia. For many years a career in nursing, and raising a family of four wonderful boys with husband Stephen took up much of her time and energy, but with her family now older, she has been able to follow her passion for art and realise her dream to work at art on a fulltime basis. In her relatively short artistic career, Karen has already won several awards including Best in Show and Best Watercolour at the 2007 Australian Society of Miniature Art (NSW) National Awards Exhibition and Best Oil Painting at the 2008 ASMA National Awards Exhibition. Whilst she works in a range of mediums, she specialises in realism in coloured pencil on a range of surfaces, including wood and drafting film.
